The second grade has been learning how to mix secondary colors: green, violet, and orange. They mixed their own colors and created artwork based on Ellsworth Kelly’s artwork: Colors for a Large Wall.
The second grade has been looking at Claude Monet’s landscape and water lily paintings. They learned that objects appear smaller when they are further away. They created landscapes showing distance and using cool colors.
