The first grade has been learning that colors go along with feelings. We looked at the artwork of Wassily Kandinsky and listened to music. We painted with colors that matched the mood of the music.
The first grade has also been learning about abstract art. We learned that abstract art doesn’t show things realistically. We looked at The Snail by Henri Matisse and created our own abstract animals.
