Artists make art about things they see, feel, remember, and imagine. Vincent Van Gogh observed the world around him and made art about what he saw. What places did he like to see?
What do museums look like? This is the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. It is one of the most famous museums in the world. What do you notice about the building?

What is a museum?
What different types of museums are there? What is an art museum? Why do we share art in museums?
This is The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. What have the children been learning and doing at The Met?
Goal: Make an artwork showing the inside or outside of a museum.
Fourth and fifth graders have been working hard and it shows! Check out our almost- finished mural in the cafeteria.
All classes have been working on Art to Remember artworks. Look out for more information on this wonderful fundraising opportunity.


Second and third graders learned about Jasper Johns and painted maps based on his style.
